Notebook

The Notebook

The Notebook is the backbone of senSEi. It uses a hierarchy to reflect how sales information is naturally structured: accounts contain opportunities, which contain meetings and contacts.

Node types

  • Account — A company or customer you are working with. Stores fields like health, tier, and custom properties.
  • Opportunity — A specific deal within an account. Tracks stage, ARR, close date, and CoM (Command of the Message) fields.
  • Meeting — A meeting tied to an opportunity. Has date, attendees, type, summary, transcript, and action items.
  • Contact — A person at an account. Contacts are grouped inside a Contacts folder under the account and are auto-created when you add attendees to a meeting.
  • Note — A free-form note that can live anywhere in the hierarchy.
  • Free folder — A folder to group any items however you like.

Creating nodes

Click the + button in the sidebar header to add a new account or free folder at the top level. To add a child node (like an opportunity under an account), hover over the parent node and click its + icon.

Detail pane

Click any node in the sidebar to open its detail pane on the right. You can edit all properties, write rich notes in the block editor, and manage action items for meetings.

Resizing the sidebar

Drag the divider between the sidebar and the detail pane to resize it to your preference. The width is saved automatically.

Contacts & the Contacts folder

Contacts for an account are automatically grouped inside a Contacts folder that lives directly under the account node. This keeps the sidebar tidy — all contacts are one click away without cluttering the top-level account view.

Contacts are created automatically in two ways:

  • On attendee add — When you type an attendee into a meeting that sits under an opportunity, senSEi creates a matching contact on the parent account (if one doesn't already exist).
  • Sync contacts button — In the Meetings page, click Sync contacts to backfill contacts from every existing meeting across all accounts at once.

Deduplication is by name and email (case-insensitive), so the same person is never added twice.

Custom properties

On any node's detail pane, scroll to the bottom to add custom key–value properties. These are saved per node and visible in the detail view.
